Sunday Stuff (giveaway winner announced)

22 Jul

Hi guys!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I went home for the weekend to deliver my LAST speech for my public speaking class. Now all that’s left is a final exam and I will be finished!!!! Then I can enjoy a little bit of Summertime before starting back up for Fall semester, haha. That’s okay though, it was totally worth it to knock out a class over summer. The ease of taking an online class is awesome if you are self-motivated and make sure to get things done. I am planning on doing the same thing next summer as well.

Today I did a had a great workout by Mid West Fit, yet again. I just love them. Check this out:

I did 5 rounds and swapped pull ups for negative pull ups, and chin ups for push presses.

A lot of times I will modify their workouts slightly because let’s be honest. THEY ARE TOUGH. Every time I think it will be a piece of cake but I’m huffing and puffing after the first round. Gotta love it though!

It is Sunday Food Prep Day over here and I have two recipes that would be great for it! Both are blogger inspired.

First up: Light and Tasty Zucchini Casserole

so, so good. This recipe sort of required a lot of steps (maybe that’s just me…I like one, two, done kind of recipes hehe) but it was definitely worth it in the end. I have been going through zucchini like crazy since they can be bought for so cheap at the farmers market. I think I might turn into a zucchini at this point.

Second up: Hot Dog Mac N Cheese

I took Janetha’s recipe and added cut up 97% fat free hot dog links. Mmmm, cheesy. Love that recipe!

Thank you to all who entered the Tour De France Biking Giveaway. The winner has been picked and it’s lucky number…

Congrats toΒ RunServeCook. Please email me your shipping info!

Time to go but I will be back soon with a zucchini muffin recipe!

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Who is watching the Bachelorette season finale tonight?! My vote is for Jeff. πŸ˜‰

I have to say a huge say thanks for introducing me to Mid West Fit :)! The website’s awesome. And the workouts are FUN and challenging.

Can’t wait for the muffin recipe! Zucchini is like one of the very few veggies I’m not exactly wild about – but I adore it in baked goods.

Hope your week is getting off to a fab start Kristi,
